A seasoned visual design professional with more than 10 years of experience in creative team settings, I am seeking a leadership or director-level role. I bring to the table a host of skills, including significant strengths in creative team leadership, proven successes in driving and executing creative programs, and expertise with Adobe Creative Suite. I apply current digital design trends without ignoring solid design fundamentals.

The Design Team - Alex, Everett, and James
The VP of Marketing took me out to celebrate a successful, albeit stressful, launch of the new website in early January 2016. From left to right is me, Everett (Developer), and James (Designer). These two friends were super helpful through this grueling 31 business day schedule. In the end, I managed to get 5 days of Everett's time as well as 3 days of James' time. Thanks guys!

Leadership

At Leadership Team Development, I spent more than five years supervising and leading teams consisting of designers and videographers and producing events, often speaking to groups numbering in the hundreds. Other successful leadership roles included helping to brand and launch a national campaign for a motocross racing team for Serious MX, leading the development of a new website and brand image for one of the largest counties in North Carolina, and more.

Responsibility

I planned and led Apptricity’s participation at customer-facing events and tradeshows, where I made contacts and generated leads in C-level environments. I made recommendations for organizational growth through the Apptricity newsletter, email campaign landing pages, and weekly Sales and Marketing meetings with the CEO.

Continuous Improvement

I also led a SEO initiative by launching a new website that increased organic search returns by more than seven percent and led to a decrease of more than 10 percent in advertising costs.

My Highlights

My design thesis, "How Quantitative Information Displayed across Time Increases Learner Retention," was presented to the International Conference of Graphic Designers, now known as the International Council of Design. My delivered project entailed interactive product design using multiple window display – a revolutionary concept at the time.
